The speed of change is too fast to create a effective comm policy for any entity.
So what’s the thread that allows a coherent policy?
The well funded think-tanks have some ideas; the advertising firms have a long history of experimentation that still has much value; the new understandings based on surveillance capitalism have the latest scientific method. Governments of the highest capacity are toying with fantastic machinations. The Chinese experiment is fundamental; the U.S. thing is phenomenal in scale.
My mother taught me to have great faith in the democratic process - ‘trust the people’.
The collective must enable the individual.
